Kobo

“Has anyone held it in their hands? How does the screen compare to a 300dpi pearl eink like aura one or Oasis? I love my Kobo aura one, but I think one of the reasons it is so great is the 300dpi screen.”— polskibus · 2018 · HN

“How does this compare to a kobo libra? I have one Kobo Libra, use it for PDFs, as the screen has enough DPI and is big enough, but it's not the best experience. Absolutely love the Pocket integration and KOReader, though. Also, the lights.”— just_testing · 2019 · HN

“Good point I have a kobo forma which at 7.8 is a bigger than normal ereader that is good for technical books. Outside I use the kobo (and I use less often than I expected), but inside I have a cheap windows tablet which is faster, easier to read and does other stuff too.”— x87678r · 2020 · HN

“I highly recommend installing KoReader, especially for PDFs. Works on Kobo readers as well.”— 0-_-0 · 2020 · HN

“I use a Kobo Clara HD. It has a Kobo store where you can buy books, or you can use the “experimental web browser”, point it to libgen or your libraries website, and download whatever book you want. More often than not though I just hook it up to my Linux laptop and transfer books”— SamuelAdams · 2021 · HN

“I use Pocket with my Kobo. Works great for public web pages, but not really suitable if you want to throw bank statements or doctor's reports or whatever onto a reader.”— epakai · 2021 · HN
