“dang, this is seriously disappointing. have you alerted system76 support? they have been known to fix drivers, so worth reporting. I've been using Lenovo Thinkpad's with no problems at all. I just ordered a Frame.Work laptop that I'm stoked for. Hopefully it goes well.”— freedomben · 2021 · HN

“Hard disagree. I dont need more keys, I need better keys. More keys just means more reaching and more strain. I use the Preonic and would love to see layer keys on a laptop instead of a stupidly big spacebar nobody ever uses wasting so much real estate. I think the Framework lapt”— evilduck · 2021 · HN

“I've been using a 2015 macbook pro for 6 years or more now. Still works great, to be honest it works so well I actually can't justify upgrading to a framework laptop running Linux. Maybe when Apple abandons it for macOS upgrades in a year or two I'll give up on it.”— vanilla_nut · 2021 · HN

“I’ve been using Fedora 35 with Wayland and fractional scaling set to 150% on my Framework laptop and it works great for me.”— keawade · 2022 · HN

“I've been using a Framework laptop for a month on Ubuntu 21.10 and pretty happy with it. Some hiccups but mostly answered by digging through forums. Battery life in operation is excellent, but it does drain 30% in 8 hours when on suspend which is a bit much. Not a dealbreaker but”— dheera · 2022 · HN

“I love my $200 64GB with my Framework Laptop. Fuck Apple they should be sued for price gouging.”— dheera · 2022 · HN
