“If you're looking for compact and oh so light, I love my Macbook Air 11' inch screen. Love it, love how light and powerful it is on the go -- and you can connect it to a bigger monitor at home for a bigger screen.”— jotjotzzz · 2017 · HN

“I've been using HP dm1z for half a year now. It's a pretty good portable laptop with good battery life. Although in terms of computing power it won't compare to the airs. But at $400 it is a pretty good MacBook air alternative.”— clvv · 2011 · HN

“I use a 13" macbook air with 4gb of ram. When I'm at home, I hook it up to a Dell 30" lcd with an old school MS Natural Keyboard and an Evoluent Vertical Mouse.”— scottyallen · 2011 · HN

“Yup. Live in London & I code on the tube sometimes, only if it's quiet and I can get a seat. I use a Macbook Air which makes it a ton easier than if you have something hefty to carry around. It's really useful for ticking of small bits of work.”— nc · 2011 · HN

“I use macbook air. No quibbles with it. Maybe if it upped the Mhz to 2.5Ghz it would be ideal. - Quiet. - SSD = Fast - Works all day on one charge. - No glare (only purple light is reflected...)”— dlikhten · 2011 · HN

“I use the "ultimate" model (blank keys) just fine with my Mac Mini and MacBook Air, no issues.”— thomanil · 2012 · HN

“I love my Macbook Pro 13". I really like the form factor: it's not too big and not too small. I would really like to have a Macbook Air, but unfortunately the small HD space and lack of an optical drive and firewire port are dealbreakers to me.”— huskyr · 2012 · HN
